Warner Bros. has dropped the new trailer for supernatural thriller Sinners, alongside a dramatic new poster.

Michael B. Jordan looks intense as the man out for blood in the Jim Crow-era South. He plays twin characters, Elijah and Elias, who must fend off a horde of vampires hungry for a bite. It’s like a Prohibition-era From Dusk Till Dawn.

Sinners marks the fifth team-up for Michael B. Jordan and director Ryan Coogler, who collaborated on Fruitvale Station, both Black Panther films, and Creed.

Its official synopsis reads, “Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.”

The cast of Sinners includes Jack O’Connell (28 Years Later) and Lola Kirke (Gone Girl), as well as Loki actor Wunmi Mosaku, Spider-Verse‘s Hailee Steinfeld, The Harder They Fall‘s Delroy Lindo, and The Batman‘s Jayme Lawson.

O’Connell is the star of the teaser (embedded below), in which he leads a troop of musicians singing for their supper by playing bluegrass for the patrons of a bar. It appears to be a ruse, however, as a huge gang of shadowy figures emerge from the darkness and surround the bar. One can only imagine their intentions, but they don’t look good.

Coogler has several projects in the pipeline. The biggest of which is a TV spinoff of Black Panther, Eyes of Wakanda, which is currently in post-production. He’s also executive producer on Disney+ series Ironheart. Both are scheduled to air later this year.

Jordan, meanwhile, is gearing up to star alongside Will Smith in I Am Legend 2, as well as direct and star in Creed 4, with an anime series based on the boxing drama reportedly in the works.

Sinners releases only in theaters April 18.
