Healthy people who develop salmonella may experience digestive symptoms including “fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.” However, young children, elderly people, and immunocompromised people are at higher risk of developing a more serious or fatal infection.
What should you do with a recalled product?
The FDA is warning consumers who have the recalled sprouts in their homes to not eat them and throw them away immediately.
