German government lifts crisis level for foreign missions

The German government’s crisis team has decided to further raise the crisis level for foreign representations in Beirut, Ramallah and Tel Aviv due to the escalation in the Middle East, the Foreign Office announced on Saturday.

Family members of seconded employees in these representations should leave the service location and travel to a safe place in the region or return to Germany, it said.

Furthermore, the seconded personnel will be reduced, it said, but it will be ensured that “the comprehensive operational capability of the three foreign representations remains guaranteed.”
