Quvenzhané Wallis Signs With Gersh (EXCLUSIVE)
Quvenzhané Wallis has signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.
Wallis in 2013 was nominated for Best Actress at the 2013 Academy Awards for her lead role as Hushpuppy in the acclaimed film “Beasts of the Southern Wild.” At nine years old, she became the youngest actor to be nominated in the category to this day.
Wallis also received a Golden Globe nomination for playing the titular role in the 2014 remake of the movie musical “Annie,” opposite Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
Wallis most recently starred as a series regular on Apple TV’s “The Swagger,” and can also be seen in the series “Black-ish” and “American Horror Story.” She has also starred in several feature films, including “12 Years a Slave,” “Fathers and Daughters,” “Trolls,” “The Prophet,” and most recently, “Breathe,” opposite Jennifer Hudson.
In 2017, Wallis partnered with Simon & Schuster to write the children’s books “A Night Out With Mama,” and “Shai & Emmie Star in Break an Egg,” which followed with two sequel book deals.
Along with Gersh, Wallis is also represented by Rebel Creative Group and Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Feldman, Rogal, Shikora & Clark.
The signing follows Gersh’s recent acquisition of global sports and entertainment agency You First, and the acquisition of A3’s digital and alternative departments in Jan. 2024. These acquisitions are part of an ongoing growth plan the agency has undertaken since an equity investment by Crestview Partners in 2023. The acquisition of You First doubled the size of the agency, established its global footprint in 14 countries and positioned it as a player in worldwide sports representation.
