Ralph Lauren Pre-Fall 2027: The Ultimate Wardrobe

Ralph Lauren Pre-Fall 2027 Ready-to-Wear runway, fashion show & collection review. Lauren doubled down on tailoring and elevated, everyday luxury.

On Monday night, Ralph Lauren took home the prize at the CFDA Awards as American Menswear Designer of the Year, following his 2025 win as American Womenswear Designer of the Year.

The brand has been on fire over the last few years and continues to gain momentum for its luxury, craft-forward collections and major events including October’s three-day PoloFest in Tokyo; Ralph Lauren and Polo Ralph Lauren’s stellar spring collection debuts at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks; long-term Wimbledon partnerships; activations, and more.

As reported on Thursday, Ralph Lauren Corp. is continuing on its growth track, beating top- and bottom-line forecasts in its second quarter and boosting its outlook for the year.

Lauren’s latest luxury collection, while very rooted in his signature style, smartly doubled down on tailoring and everyday, elevated wardrobing with modern nods to ’90s dress. But at Ralph Lauren, pre-fall’s wardrobe staples are far from boring.

First, the brand expanded and evolved spring’s offering of menswear-inspired tailored suits, made in an Italian men’s factory for the women’s body, as seen via pinstripe and glen plaid suits, as well as an ultra-cool combination of slick and sportif via a grain de poudre black tuxedo blazer with cotton parachute poplin tuxedo shirt and cool featherweight taffeta jogger-inspired pants.

“I’ve always loved the way a woman looks in menswear tailoring. My pre-fall 2027 collection celebrates that spirit and more in shades of black and white with touches of unexpected color,” Lauren said of his pops of deep purples and greens that nicely uplifted his neutral tailored trousers, fitted blazers, double-breasted topcoat and more. Everyday essentials continued with luxe shirtdresses, here in lightweight poplin; new trousers with cinchable ankle straps — a great new loose take on the popular balloon pant, and sexy stretch silk charmeuse or easy silk plaid shirts.

The stealthy look also continued with great toppers including new cropped, snug leather jackets in black or deep green, a seafoam green lacquered trench with high funnel neck, and a sportif glen plaid windbreaker, to name a few. Ditto to sharp pencil skirts, like a gray striped midi, said to be inspired by the first skirt Lauren ever made, with a white button-down, black turtleneck and purple coat.

“For evening — silver and shine define a subtle kind of drama. This is a collection that expresses a strength and sensuality — a modern sophistication that’s timeless, yet personal,” Lauren said of his sensual and sophisticated cocktail and evening fare. The day-to-night look felt fresh via a mini vest with elongated skirt as well as with a plunging, platinum embroidered bodysuit with covert pants, while evening looks exuded power through simplicity with beautiful black dresses, both slips or long-sleeve with exposed back, and a slinky green halter number — his very own iconic “Atonement” dressy number.

From sportswear and tailoring to new takes on occasionwear, Lauren’s proposition of wardrobing proved especially strong and of the now throughout pre-fall.
