Union bosses sue to defend system that helped turn federal prison into ‘rape club’

The FCI Dublin prison, recently shuttered, was infamous for sexual abuse and harassment of inmates, with over 100 women accusing eight former guards of criminal abuses, and the union boss Ed Canales being accused of enabling the abuse and obstructing accountability.
